Jeff Pate
Principal
Prior to co-founding Gauge, Jeff spent eight years pursuing a career in investment banking and law, followed by twelve years in development and brokerage, focusing on industrial, retail, and mixed-use projects for nationally recognized firms. During his tenure at Trammell Crow Company and Stream Realty Partners, Jeff’s projects led to several hundred million dollars in value creation for investors.
Jeff has a BBA in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University. He is licensed by the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Real Estate Commission.
Beyond work, Jeff is a married father of three, active runner, former marathoner, lifelong learner, outdoor lover, and adventurous traveler. In service to his community, he is a committed volunteer within the Spring Branch Memorial Sports Association, a board member of the Chapelwood Foundation, and a past President of the Frostwood Elementary School Dad’s Club.
Brian Attaway
Principal
Brian brings a vast knowledge of development execution to Gauge and its clients by pulling from his experience as Project Manager at Harvey Builders and Vice President at Trammell Crow Company. Using his strong financial analysis skills learned from McCombs School of Business, Brian identifies, analyzes, and creates positive financial outcomes for capital partners. Since beginning his career, Brian has managed the development of commercial real estate valued at over $845 million and totaling more than 5.7 million square feet.
Away from the office, he can be found coaching one of his two son’s sporting events, actively participating at Houston’s First Baptist Church, playing golf or tennis, or spending time with his wife benefitting local children’s charities.
